Gypsum board, as a lightweight, fire-resistant, and soundproof building material, is widely used in indoor decoration and partition. So, how was this seemingly simple gypsum board produced? This article will reveal the production process and technology of gypsum board for you.
1、 Raw material preparation
The main raw material of gypsum board is gypsum powder, usually using natural gypsum or industrial by-product gypsum. These gypsum need to undergo crushing, grinding, and other treatments to achieve the required fineness for production.
2、 Ingredients and Mixing
Mix the processed gypsum powder with an appropriate amount of water and additives in proportion and stir evenly. During this process, it is necessary to strictly control the moisture ratio to ensure the fluidity and formability of the gypsum slurry.
3、 Forming
Pour the mixed gypsum slurry into the pre prepared mold and apply a certain amount of pressure using a press to evenly distribute the gypsum slurry in the mold and preliminarily form it.
4、 Dehydration and drying
The formed gypsum board needs to be dehydrated to remove excess moisture. Then, it is sent to the drying room for drying until the specified moisture content is reached.
5、 Cutting and packaging
After passing the inspection, the gypsum board is cut according to customer needs and finally packaged for easy transportation and storage.
Through the above five steps, high-quality gypsum boards are born one by one.
